Privacy statement
We are concerned with privacy at SYNTAX ERROR, and this privacy policy provides you with information about what personal information is collected and how this is used.
SYNTAX ERROR, by owner / general manager, is responsible for processing the company’s personal data. The data controller has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all processing and handling of personal data takes place in accordance with the applicable legislation.
The declaration contains information about your rights when storing personal data through a contact/customer relationship with SYNTAX ERROR, and general information about how we process personal data in accordance with current data protection legislation.
Contact details
You will find updated contact information and form on our contact page.
Personal information
As of today, we exclude companies/organisations as customers, and keep little personal information for customers’ contact persons (private individuals). This is limited to the name, e-mail and telephone specified by the customer/contact person – for necessary follow-up in connection with customer relations. When using the order/contact form, the IP can also be logged and stored, due to the burden of proof for contact and order processing.
According to current legislation, you have the right to access your registered personal data. This means that you have the right to request that these be sent, as well as request correction and deletion. Note, however, that the right to erasure is limited and overridden by e.g. of our bookkeeping obligation according to the Accounting Act, etc
You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if you feel that your personal data is not being processed in accordance with this declaration.
Personal data to third parties
SYNTAX ERROR will not share, sell, transfer or otherwise disclose your personal data in ways other than described in the privacy policy. Your data will only be shared if we are legally obliged or get your consent. Collaborative partners will only have access to the information if this is necessary to perform services for SYNTAX ERROR.
The only exception to sharing is if an agreement is to be entered into with a third party, at the request of the customer/contact person, where the name and contact details of the contact person are necessary for this processing.
Data processing for customers
SYNTAX ERROR does not store and process personal data for our customers and their websites in/via our systems, i.e. personal data for customers’ customers.
Our customers enter into a direct agreement with a hosting company, where website(s) are installed and operated, and are themselves responsible for any data processing agreements that are needed for this.
